Snow Puppies
Man! This winter seems to be dragging on forever! I think it’s making up for last year when it never even snowed. But Boy! Am I ready for spring! This yucky, mucky weather isn’t really conducive to outdoor portraits and that’s what I’m eagerly looking forward to! I know many of you are looking forward to engagement, family, and senior sessions come this spring and summer and I can’t wait to start capturing all of you again too!
But I do have a confession… I’m thoroughly enjoying this cold weather. I’m more of a fall person because I love the fall colors, the crunch of leaves, visiting the apple orchard, and the cozy comfort of sweaters and snuggling at home. But this year – I’m seeing the perks of the below freezing temperatures. Since moving back home – we don’t have much of a yard… In fact our yard is more of a muddy mess – particularly when it warms up outside. I’ve lost a shoe to the bog that is our yard more than once and I’m not looking forward to the mess of my muddy yard when if finally does decide to warm up.
I think part of my dislike for the muddy mess is due to my two psychotic dogs. The minute it hits 31 degrees outside, I know I’m going to have to leash each dog individually and walk them to the grassy patches to use the bathroom. I say individually because these two goof balls don’t like being close to each other and I’m convinced they’d drag me through the mud fast first if I tried to control both of them at once. So each dog gets walked on their own. Thus the reason I’ve been loving these cold mornings we’ve been having where I can just open the door and let them run out and do their business and come back in on their own.
Plus, winter weather makes for some doggies having fun in the snow. These are from the last good batch of snow we had… a couple weeks ago I think.
Well I hope you all are having a wonderful Wednesday and keeping warm and cozy! I will see you back here on Friday! 🙂
