As it is Memorial Day weekend, Ryan has the day off and (surprisingly) so do I. So we’re spending the day of thanks and appreciation for military men and women working on insurance paperwork for the house. Yes… the house fire may have been over 7 months ago, but we’re still in the process of doing insurance paperwork and waiting for the completion of our house rebuild. We’ve had several issues with the bank, which has really delayed our progress. But our contractor has been phenomenal through all of this! We’re just tickled to death with his friendliness, eagerness, and quality of work!

I’ve been out to the house a couple times now that the walls have been up and I’m just giddy for the day that I get to move back into my own home! I’m ever so thankful to all those that have give us places to stay and helped us get back on our feet! But it will be absolutely lovely to have my own place to decorate and care for! We’re still a long way away though…

But for those of you who are curious… here’s a little peek at the house so far 🙂

So there it is – just a little peek at the progress on our house so far… as you can see – we’re getting closer and closer! The projected move-in date at this point is the end of June.
