Kyle & Mackinzey Price Wedding | Decatur, IL | Wedding Photography
It was a calm, chilly Friday in November as Ryan and I headed to our last wedding of 2011, and it couldn’t have been for a sweeter couple! I did Mackinzey and Kyle’s engagement photos over the summer and we met a couple times since then to discuss the wedding and I was so excited to see how everything came together.
I knew this wedding was going to have a lot of special sentimental touches. Both the Kyle and Mackinzey’s dads passed away this year so I really wanted to do everything I could to highlight the things I knew would mean a lot to them. Since Ryan and I got there a little early we were able to snoop around the hall and get some pictures of the details before everything really started.
Of course I wanted to get pictures of the girls getting ready so I followed a bridesmaid and flower girl down the hall to where all the girls were getting ready.
In case you are wondering… there is only a smudge of retouching on this picture. Mackinzey is this gorgeous naturally! (And as always – I love my natural light 😉 )
Before we knew it – the time for the ceremony had arrived. Ryan and I got set up in the hall and waited for the procession to begin. When Mackinzey appeared at the end of the aisle, there was a murmur among the crowd. She was absolutely radiant, beaming with excitement and love for the man who waited for her at the other end of the aisle.
And Kyle couldn’t have looked more happy to soon be able to call this stunning woman his wife.
And just like that – it was over and they were man and wife!
We snapped this quick picture after the happy couple exited the ceremony hall.
We took a little drive from the Conference Center and headed over to Scoville Golf Course for a few quick pictures. It was pretty nippy and the sun was setting fast so we didn’t have much time but we got some great pictures out of it!
We headed back to the Conference Center to get the rest of the formals done and a few more pictures of Kyle and Mackinzey before the reception started.
Congrats you two! Ryan and I are so happy for you! I just know that there are years of love and joy ahead of you, and we feel so blessed to have gotten to share in your special day!

I asked Mackinzey a few questions about her big day. Here’s what she had to share! 🙂
• Your dress was beautiful!!! You looked absolutely stunning in it! Where did you find it? I’m sure some of my brides would love to know! Â
My dress, as well as the bridesmaid dresses were purchased at David’s Bridal.
• The guys didn’t look too shabby either 😉 Where did you find their tuxes?
All tuxes were from Mens wearhouse.• Is there anyone you’d like to give special credit to for there help putting your special day together?
We would love to thank both of our mothers, without them our day wouldn’t have been possible!! We would like to thank Gloria from Affordable Weddings, she does absolutely amazing work; along with Mac from Prairie Fire DJ. We also can’t forget to thank Ashlee from the Cake Artist’s Studio for making the best cake either of us have ever tasted!!!  And finally, we would like to thank both Stephanie and Ryan/Green Tree Media for capturing our special day in such an artistic way!!• Is there a detail of your day that you particularly loved or a moment that you will never forget?
We really loved our entrance into the reception and our ceremony; but for us, the most important aspect of our day was spending it with all of our family and loved ones!• Now that it’s all over, would you do anything differently?
We wouldn’t change a thing!• Any advice for future brides and grooms?
Enjoy every minute, it all goes by so fast!!And before we close this post…. here’s a quick picture Ryan took of me with the lovely bride and groom! We were so thrilled to be a part of your big day!I hope you all enjoyed the images from Kyle and Mackinzey’s wedding! Have a wonderful Monday!
