I still may not have had the ability to shoot a new fine art piece, so I’m continuing to share some old ones! Before the creation of my self portrait series (The Journey) I was working on another series for others called the Your Story Project. This series was designed as a collaborative art expression. I want to sit down with someone and help them figure out what story they have that they want to visually convey, and then we’ll work together to find the perfect way to express their personal story.

I actually created this piece for my beautiful friend and frequent model, Brittany. We talked about some of her troubles with worry and anxiety. Sometimes we can find ourselves feeling overwhelmed and immobilized by our worries. We can feel afraid to leave our house because of fear of an electrical fire. We might be afraid to drive after having an automobile accident. We might be afraid to love someone again after having our heart broken. There are a lot of ways that worry can immobilize us. So we worked together to create this simple piece to represent that idea.
