I am so excited to get to share this sweet couple’s long awaited wedding day! Now many of you know that I moved away from the wedding biz a few years ago, and I honestly have no intention of jumping back in like I was before. However, for special circumstances I will consider it and this was definitely one of those instances. I had the immense honor of photographing David & Kristin’s engagement photos a few years ago. So I was absolutely thrilled to be able to capture their special day a little over three years later.

David & Kristin really couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day! It rained a little in the morning but the rest of the day was beautiful, sunny, and a comfortable temperature for a fall wedding. The ceremony for these two lovebirds took place at the Scoville building at the zoo. There is a big room with a huge window looking out over trees and the lake. It was a lovely setting for these two to say I do in front of. It was a simple and sweet ceremony in front of their closest friends and family and afterwards we spent a little time getting pictures of the families and the newlyweds.

The reception took place at Taproot in downtown Decatur. They all had done a lovely job setting it up for their guests. David and Kristin had some super cute favors: a set of matches since they met on match.com and some super cool cookies laser cut to look like them! Kristin chose a beautiful and rustic naked cake for their reception and of course, Disney themed cake cutting utensils and champagne glasses – since that’s where they were headed for their honeymoon.

It was a beautiful wedding full of love for two beautiful souls. I cannot wait to see what the future has in store for these two people and their family! Take a peek at their special day!
