I cannot tell you enough how excited I am to share this session and family with all of you! I was really excited to meet Alicia in person after emailing back and forth with her before her initial pre-session consultation. She told me she had a special little guy at home named Semaaj and that this would be their first official family portraits together and they were really important to her. Of course, I had to ask if she had a picture – and guys – I melted when I saw the photo she had of him! Such a cutie!!! I was even more excited when she shared how she was looking for “her” family photographer and wanted to book with me! I knew I was going to do my darnedest to capture the images I knew she was hoping for from her session!

I met up with her and Semaaj at the Scoville Rock Garden on a Saturday that was surprisingly warm for early September. She did a fantastic job pulling together outfits that looked great together and worked with the warmer weather we were experiencing. Semaaj is a pretty independent little man and he had ideas about what he wanted to do and where he wanted to go. I know the moms I work with are always worrying we’re not getting any good images. But the truth is – there are a million little moments you’re not seeing that I do and capture for you! He truly did great for his first time in front of my camera and I’m so excited to share Alicia and Semaaj’s first family session with all of you today!
