There’s a special joy that comes from photographing people you love, and I love these two and their sweet furbaby, Jack! Frank and Kayla are two of our dearest friends. We met them at our church and we quickly become fast friends! We always have so much fun with them and I’m so grateful to count them as our friends.

Frank and Kayla’s pup, Jack, is a gorgeous German Shepherd, and he’s actually a rescue. Kayla found him outside her place of work. She spent a ton of time trying to find his home. When no one would claim him, and the shelters were full – Kayla took him home. There was a bit of a curve on building up Jack’s trust in them. But it’s amazing to see how far he has come! I love seeing how much he loves Kayla & Frank. Not to mention how much more comfortable he’s gotten with other people too. He’s such a pretty dog and such a good boy!

We met up with the Lafata’s at their home, and we decided to take pictures in their backyard. It was a great day for pictures and their yard was a perfect spot for these images. We got some great pictures of the three of them and even included some shots of their house in the background since it’s their first home.
