Dan & Erin Maternity Photography | Decatur IL
Oh, guys! I’m so excited to share this session with you! I’ve said it before and I’m sure I’ll say it again… I don’t know what I did to deserve this wonderful woman as my friend, but I’m eternally grateful to have her in my life! I love my brothers, but I grew up longing for a sister. I spent so much time looking for that connection through friends hoping that I’d find that sisterly connection that way. It wasn’t until Erin walked into my life that I finally felt like I had found the sister I’d always been looking for.
Naturally, I’m over the moon elated for these two amazing people and the new little man they are bringing into the world. Little baby Evans is due on Thanksgiving this year and we are all eager to meet him. I was so happy that Dan and Erin planned to do a maternity session. I find that so many mom’s overlook taking these pictures because they feel uncomfortable when they are pregnant. While I haven’t experienced it myself, I can understand that… But… since I can’t get pregnant, I’m honestly going to feel rather strongly about documenting such a miraculous thing – you are growing life inside you! Plus, I think it’s so good for kids to see how loved they were before they were even born. And maternity images are a great way to do that!
We met Dan and Erin out at Rock Springs park. We were blessed with some lovely 80° weather. Erin brought two gorgeous long flowy dresses that draped her perfect little baby bump. We walked around the park finding several lovely spots to capture the love between these two sweet parents-to-be. Someday when this little boy looks at photographs of his mom and dad he’ll see how much these two love each other… even before he was born. And how that love resulted in him and then grew and morphed into something stronger and more beautiful and wonderful.
I can’t believe how quickly this time has passed and it won’t be long before Baby Evans makes his debut. But in the meantime, let’s all just soak up these two and their precious baby bump!
