2011 Product Offerings
As I mentioned last week. I’m incredibly excited about the new products I will be offering this year. I thought I would include some pictures of the products and a little bit more about them.
• Higher Quality Prints & **NEW** Metallic Prints
Through my new lab, you will see a much higher quality of photograph. Why is that? Well these prints are created with printers that expose light sensitive paper that is then run through a chemical process. These are real photographs, not inkjet prints. These prints are also printed in such a way that they are designed to last; Over 100 years in typical home display. Over 200 years in dark storage. 1-5 years for commercial display. Through the new lab, I am also now able to offer these really awesome metallic prints. I do have samples at the studio for you to actually see the difference. There’s a sheen to these prints unlike any standard print and they add a whole new depth and richness to the image. So I’m very excited about them.
• Custom Wall Art
This year I am offering some fun new wall art. Last year, I offered gallery wraps and I will be offering them again this year. Through the new lab, these gallery wraps are available on fine art canvas, lustre photo paper, or metallic paper. Your image is printed larger than the final print size so that it can be wrapped around the wooden frame. WHCC Gallery Wraps are made with real wood available in 1-1/2″ and 2-1/2″ depths. Mix and match lengths to create the perfect custom size. All gallery wraps include a matte, semi-gloss, or high gloss laminate to protect the gallery wrap from scuffs, scratches, and cracking. The laminate also provides UV light protection. Framing paper covers the back of the gallery wrap with metal hangers and corner bumpers, or choose the wire hanger option without paper backing. Your gallery wrap will be ready to hang on the wall the minute it arrives.
This is a new product offered this year. They are called Float Wraps. Float Wraps are created by wrapping the photographic print or canvas print around masonite to create a thin wrap. The print or canvas is protected with a laminate and padding is added between the print and the masonite to give the front of the Float Wrap a raised, elegant look and feel. The back of the Float Wrap is complete with black paper backing and a black ¾” or 1-1/2″ thick gatorboard block that allows the Float Wrap to extend out from the wall. The back of the block also contains drilled holes for hanging. Or, if you’d prefer to display your Float Wrap on an easel, you can order your wrap without the gatorboard block.
This year I’m adding an extra touch to the custom wall art. If you provide me with a photo of where in your home you would like your new wall art to hang, I can put together a custom piece for you to see how it will look. This can be done with gallery wraps, float wraps, collages, and large framed prints if you wish.
• Announcements and Cards
I have designed cards in the past for myself and a few friends who requested it. This year I’m including the announcements and cards as a product offering with every session. This way you can get your Christmas cards designed a printed right after your family photo session. Or you can get baby announcements or senior announcements too.
• Accordion Mini Books
In the past I’ve offered Photo Books and Albums, and I will continue to offer them this year. In addition to the previous photo books, I am no offering Accordion Mini Books. Accordion Mini Books are a nice alternative to the photo books and are available in a wallet and a square 3×3 size. There are a variety of paper options, and a UV coating can be added for protection. Frosted slip covers are also available for a small fee to those who would like one.
• Photo Videos
I offered the video slideshows last year. I didn’t have very many takers, but I’m offering them again this year. If you would like a slideshow of the images from your session set to music and burned to a DVD, you will be able to order one for your own. Each video is uniquely designed to fit your session. Here’s a sample video from a session last year:
• Photo Jewelry
This is something I had thought about for a while and I finally decided to do a test run as Christmas gifts for a couple of my friends. I was surprised and actually quite pleased with the results. This year I am offering handmade photo jewelry: necklaces, bracelets, keychains, etc. Each one is hand-crafted by me using a photo or photos from your session. Here’s a few pictures of the ones I have made so far.
So there’s a little brief peek at some of the new products I’m offering to all of you this year! I’m really excited about it! I’d be really interested to hear what you think about all the new products! I’d be thrilled for you to leave a comment and let me know!
